FiE 2025: Valio spots dairy-based opportunities in infant and adult nutrition

At Food ingredients Europe (FiE), experts from Valio shared how nutrition is evolving across life stages. Sari Vahla, head of sales for Infant and Special Nutrition, told us that health-conscious parents drive demand for infant formula that increasingly mimics breast milk. Meanwhile, Dennis van der Veer, head of sales, said that adult nutrition is shifting toward a holistic focus on mental well-being, healthy aging, and metabolic wellness. The experts noted a growing interest in gut health, immune support, and protein quality in both adult and early-life nutrition.
