Global labeling – trends and issues

Globally, 62% of consumers pay attention to health claims or labels while purchasing a product. As a result, there is an increase in product launches with various health claims, with Europe being the leader for these launches. Free-from and diet claims take the lead, while plant-based and vegan claims surge. However, this strong growth in food labeling sparks questions about stricter legislation.
