Upbeat Wins at World Dairy Innovation Awards 2014
20 Jun 2014 --- The World Dairy Innovation Awards have been running since 2007, and are a major highlight of the industry awards calendar. Designed to recognize excellence and creativity on a global platform for every category of the dairy industry, this year's competition attracted 160 entries from 30 countries.
While this year saw Upbeat being crowned Best Dairy Drink, it was only last year that Upbeat was recognised as Best New Brand or Business at the Beverage Innovation Awards after launching in March 2013 so it is a great achievement to have won Best Dairy Drink given the product's recent inception.
Upbeat is a delicious pure dairy drink, that’s high in protein, that helps set you up for the day – and is perfect for busy people on-the-go. Upbeat comes in a handy 250ml bottle and contains 20g of high quality whey protein. Made from fresh British milk the drink contains no more than 150 calories per bottle, and is balanced with some naturally occurring sugars from milk and fruit, to get you through the day.

The Good Whey Co was set up as a new venture last year by Volac, a family owned British business owned by the Neville brothers. Originally founded by the brothers Grandfather over 40 years ago, the company remains one of the UK's fastest growing dairy companies and Europe's largest producer of whey protein for the sports nutrition market, with a turnover in excess of £250m.
Mark Neville founder of The Good Whey Co, said: “We're delighted to have been named Best Dairy Drink. Since our launch last year, we're now ranged in a great many more stores, from supermarket shelves to petrol forecourts, and have extended distribution dramatically across Tesco, Waitrose, Holland & Barrett, Ocado and WHSmith Travel.
