Univar Solutions signs distribution deal with dsm-firmenich for skin care ingredients
Univar Solutions entered an exclusive distribution agreement for the US, Canada and Puerto Rico with dsm-firmenich, covering “breakthrough” skin actives and bioactive skin care ingredients, including synthetic peptides, organically grown plant extracts and other natural ingredients.
The collaboration offers a simplified, centralized point of contact for all their ingredient requirements. It combines dsm-firmenich’s science and product selection with Univar Solutions’ market insights, distribution capabilities and technical know-how.

The distributor’s specialized beauty and personal care business caters to skin care, hair care, body care, sun care and color cosmetics customers, offering a full suite of customized products and services.

Univar Solutions will support its end of the deal with its Solution Centers — beauty industry R&D laboratories strategically located in Houston, Texas, Mexico City, Mexico and Paris, France.

In recent activities, Univar Solutions’ Nutraceuticals division launched a campaign for its Wellness Academy titled “Healthy aging and living well with nutraceutical ingredients.” The move comes in light of the United Nations General Assembly’s declaration that it would be the decade of healthy aging.
