TSI Group’s PEAK ATP pre-workout ingredient receives new certification

23 Jul 2024 --- Peak ATP, a pre-workout ingredient by TSI Group, has received an Informed Ingredient certification by LGC, ensuring that it has been tested for substances banned in sports nutrition products.

The multi-patented Peak ATP is a clinically validated form of Adenosine 5’-Triphosphate (ATP) Disodium, identical in structure to the ATP produced and used by the human body and an energy source shown to improve muscle strength and blood flow. It is also a non-stimulant energy source.

“Informed Ingredient certification demonstrates to consumers that reputable manufacturers are doing more to ensure their products’ safety. It will give consumers another level of confidence in this ingredient,” comments Larry Kolb, group president at TSI Group.

Informed Ingredient testing
The LGC’s Informed Ingredient certification is granted following a testing process of the ingredient and the entire manufacturing process. This voluntary program signals to brand manufacturers that the ingredient had been routinely tested for a range of prohibited substances, making them safe to use by athletes. 

Kolb expects that the Informed Ingredient certification will lead to further demand for Peak ATP and formulations made with Peak ATP: “In addition to boosting cellular energy and improving exercise performance, we have science-backed data confirming Peak ATP’s ability to improve cognition, reaction time and accuracy.”

“It may also be beneficial to athletes who need to maintain their focus throughout a match or game.”

Peak ATP GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) certified kosher, non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian friendly.

TSI Group’s myHMB and myHMB Clear for muscle health have also been granted the Informed Ingredient certification.
