According to Tropicana Products, the two-thirds of Americans who are limiting their calorie and sugar intake may also be missing out on the health benefits of the vitamins and minerals in orange juice. Last year, Tropicana, Inc. was the first national brand to introduce a reduced calorie and sugar orange juice beverage for this group with Light 'n Healthy.
Weight Watchers has selected Tropicana Light 'n Healthy as the first juice beverage to list its proprietary POINTS values right on the packaging, so those counting calories can get excellent nutrition. "When people eliminate a naturally healthy beverage like orange juice from their eating plans, they're also cutting a convenient source of essential nutrients, such as potassium and vitamin C," said Susan Learner Barr, M.S., R.D., Director of Program Development for Weight Watchers. "Adding POINTS value information to Tropicana Light 'n Healthy provides Weight Watchers members with information that they can use to integrate healthy beverages into their lifestyle."
