Tocomin Tocotrienol Complex Enriched LKFresh Eggs Awarded

Bhd. for being awarded the prestigious 21st Century Product Quality Award for their LK Fresh Low Cholesterol Egg product, enriched with Tocomin natural full spectrum palm tocotrienol/tocopherol complex.

The Asia Excellence Entrepreneur Federation’s (AEFF) “21st Century The Prestigious” awards aim to provide market recognition for the outstanding achievement of the honoree; and to also serve as a platform for achievers such as Liang Kee to establish networks and connections for future business collaboration.

Established in 1977, Liang Kee Farming Sdn. Bhd. (LKF) specializes in the production of commercial table eggs and has a modern, hi-tech automated production facility in Malaysia that is able to produce 500,000 eggs daily.

Tocotrienol’s cholesterol reduction effect in human has been reported in peer-reviewed journal since the 1990s. In 2009, Carotech worked with LKF to study the effects of Tocomin full spectrum palm tocotrienol/tocopherol complex on the cholesterol reduction benefits and quality in laying hens and eggs.

Results from this trial showed that chicken eggs laid after supplementation of Tocomin has approximately 25% lower cholesterol content than conventional table eggs. In addition, the tocotrienol and carotene levels in the eggs of the supplemented group are significantly higher than control.

Based on these positive results, LKF launched the first ever LK FreshTM Low Cholesterol Egg, enriched with tocotrienol and carotenes in Malaysia. Plans are in place now to launch this unique egg product in other parts of the world.
