Nov 2 2010 --- Solae, LLC, a world leader in soy-based ingredients have formed a partnership with Derek Poundstone, America’s Strongest Man and one of the world’s top strongman competitors, to promote soy protein for a healthy lifestyle. The partnership will include both trade and consumer promotional appearances, educational messages and a media campaign highlighting the value of healthy nutrition and soy.
Poundstone, 29, is one of the world’s most respected and successful strongmen both in and out of the sport, winning five major titles in the past three years. “I have committed my career to being a positive role model for young people in every way possible, and one of the best ways is in spreading the word about proper nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. This partnership with Solae will help us do that,” said Poundstone. “Soy is a high-quality protein that’s just as good as meat and milk, and it helps with muscle development and recovery as well maintaining a healthy heart.”
