Sirio Pharma expands in Southeast Asia amid growing nutraceutical demand
Sirio Pharma is capitalizing on the rapid growth of the nutraceutical market in Southeast Asia. The global contract development and manufacturing organization for nutraceuticals reported a 77% revenue increase across the APAC region, excluding China.
The company says this growth is driven by heightened demand for nutraceuticals in key markets such as Singapore and Australia and emerging hubs in Thailand and Indonesia.
“We’re focused on helping our partners bring differentiated products to market quickly. Our innovation-led model enables them to lead in emerging categories — often securing first-mover advantage,” says Alex Du, general manager for the Asia Pacific Business Unit at Sirio Pharma. “Together with our partners, we’re growing rapidly across these high-potential nutraceutical markets.”
As part of its expansion, Sirio plans to begin construction on a central new manufacturing facility in Thailand in Q4 2025. The move reflects the company’s strategic efforts to localize production and better serve the growing demand in the region, with particular attention to Thailand, Indonesia, and India.
Shifting consumer demands
Over the past 12 months, Sirio Pharma has observed a shift in consumer preferences in Southeast Asia, with increasing demand for various products.
“These shifts across Southeast Asia are accelerating demand for innovative formats,” says Du.

The company observes a rising demand for fish oil supplements, multivitamins, and high-dosage sports nutrition gummies in Australia. Amid the country’s growing demand for muscle gain and recovery products, consumers seek convenient and highly effective formats instead of traditional powders. Sirio Pharma has introduced high-dosage performance gummies featuring protein, creatine, and branched-chain amino acids.
Meanwhile, in Singapore, consumers are increasingly drawn to collagen-based beauty supplements, biotin, and sour-flavored sports gummies.
Sirio Pharma also observes a growing popularity for vegetarian softgels and beauty supplements in India, particularly those featuring collagen and biotin. This indicates a shift toward clean label and plant-based preferences.
Indonesia is experiencing a rise in interest in halal-certified supplements and formulations that are stable in zones with high humidity and temperatures (Zone IVB) to help streamline regulatory approval processes. In Thailand, the popularity of active lifestyles drives demand for microeffervescent vitamins and sports gummies.
Women’s health and clean label trends
Women’s health is also emerging as a key growth segment in Southeast Asia. Sirio Pharma has developed new formulations that feature ingredients like collagen, biotin, iron, and bioavailable peptides, which aim to address a broader range of consumer needs for holistic well-being. With Eggnovo, the company unveiled a skin hydration concept with egg-based collagen at this year’s Vitafoods trade show.
Additionally, the company has focused on creating cleaner product labels, such as its collagen-based gummies, which are developed without traditional gelling agents. This approach provides higher active ingredient concentrations.
In related news, we recently met with Sirio Pharma to discuss omega-3 innovations and how the company helps to break down sensory barriers for enjoyable formats like gummies.
