Preliminary clinical results indicate PAZ to have potential weight loss properties
Study shows significant improvements in reduction of blood glucose, following a glucose load.
31/05/05 Health Enhancement Products, Inc. has announced that the preliminary results of a recently ended double blind clinical study indicate that those patients taking ProAlgaZyme (PAZ) showed an increase in average weight loss, an improvement in body composition (reduction in body fat), and improvement in the reduction of blood glucose, following a glucose load.
The increased weight loss, reduction in body fat, and improvement in glucose control, over the course of this six-week study for those on the product was significant, especially when compared to the placebo group. Those subjects on the ProAlgaZyme product lost almost two times as much as those on the placebo product. The weight loss per subject averaged 1.50 pounds per week, for those taking the ProAlgaZyme product, and 0.78 pounds per week for those taking the placebo. Eight out of the ten subjects lost five pounds or more, and five individuals lost nine pounds or more, while three in the placebo group lost five or more pounds, but none in this group lost more than seven pounds. Two of the subjects taking ProAlgaZyme lost 16.8 and 28 pounds, respectively.
The study also indicates that there was a statistically relevant improvement (decrease) in waist circumference of the individuals using the ProAlgaZyme product.
In addition to weight loss, there was a marked improvement (reduction) in body fat composition.
There were significant improvements in the reduction of blood glucose, following a glucose load, in those taking the ProAlgaZyme product. The average reduction was 22 mg/dl, or 39.6%. Even more impressive, 60% of those on the ProAlgaZyme product met the criteria of managing their sugars by 50% and 30% met the criteria of complete control. The study concluded that ProAlgaZyme may have the potential to improve serum glucose management, when combined with a diet low in refined carbohydrates and a light exercise regimen.
