20/10/05 Nordic Naturals, a leading supplier of fish oil and EFA supplements, revolutionizes the essential fatty acid market with the introduction of its new Synergy Line, "fish oil plus" formulas designed to address condition-specific nutritional needs. First out is Heart Synergy, a concentrated blend of fish oil with added nutrients for healthy heart support. Along with EPA and DHA Omega-3 fatty acids, the company has added important nutrients such as coenzyme Q10, L-carnitine, magnesium and antioxidants (e.g. natural Vitamin E, selenium and folic acid). The second product to join ranks is called Eye Synergy and is excellent for people concerned with protecting their eye health. In addition to purified fish oil, Eye Synergy includes valuable nutrients like lutein, zeaxanthin, vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene and zinc. These products were developed based on the newest research findings in controlled human clinical trials.

According to Corinna Benoit, national sales manager for Nordic Naturals, "These new formulas offer complete nutritional solutions for important areas of physical well being. We like to call them "all the latest science in one little bottle!" Not only are these products a "one-stop" shop for full spectrum support but scientific research shows these ingredients work in synergy, meaning that their combined effects are greater than the sum of their parts. "For example," says Gretchen Vannice MS, RD, Research Coordinator for the company, "investigators found that nutrients such as CoQ10 and L-carnitine work better together for heart support. Further, because CoQ10 and fish oil are fat-soluble, it makes good sense to take them together; the same is true with lutein and zeaxanthin".
