Nutritunes launches ThymoQuin black seed oil dietary supplement
Nutritunes has unveiled a new black seed oil supplement on Amazon, featuring ThymoQuin by TriNutra. The supplement, available in organic and non-organic soft gel options, promises superior purity, potency, and effectiveness, thanks to its use of ThymoQuin — a black seed oil compliant with the US Pharmacopoeia, which is known for its scientifically backed benefits.
ThymoQuin is a black seed oil (Nigella sativa) with high standardization. It contains 3% thymoquinone and very low (<1.25%) levels of free fatty acids (FFAs), which are crucial to maintaining its potency. FFAs, when present in higher levels, can cause the oil to become rancid and reduce its effectiveness.
TriNutra’s proprietary cold-press manufacturing process ensures that ThymoQuin retains its full-spectrum composition. This offers multiple health benefits, such as improved mitochondrial activity, antioxidant support, and a balanced inflammatory response.
Dr. Nalin Siriwardhana, founder and chief scientific officer at Nutritunes, explains the company’s decision to choose ThymoQuin for the product upgrade. “We continuously monitor advancements in nutritional science and seek innovations that are both promising and validated by reliable, peer-reviewed studies.”

“When it was time to update our black seed oil, we chose ThymoQuin by TriNutra. ThymoQuin meets our strict standards for purity, potency, and proven effectiveness, making it the clear choice for our premium black seed oil formula. For us, this upgrade is not just about changing ingredients — it’s a scientifically driven step forward.”
Black seed oil benefits
Last year, TriNutra obtained new structure-function claims from Health Canada for its proprietary black seed oil. Companies using the oil in a capsule or soft gel in the country can claim it helps to support healthy liver function, cardiovascular health, healthy glucose levels, stress relief, and healthy gut microbiota.
Morris Zelkha, CEO of TriNutra, highlights the importance of collaboration with Nutritunes: “We are excited to partner with Nutritunes, a forward-thinking and trustworthy company that raises the bar for investing in clinically researched ingredients.”
“The black seed oil market is expanding, but not all black seed oils are created equal. Our mission is to partner with companies dedicated to providing their customers with the best possible products validated through clinical research.”
The company recently partnered with Dr. Michael Murray to launch a ThymoQuin supplement on iHerb.
Earlier this month, Nutrition Insight met with TriNutra’s business development director to discuss how ThymoQuin stands out in the black seed oil market.
Dr. Liki von Oppen-Bezalel pointed to the oil’s full-spectrum integrity, due to its growing conditions and extraction process. “As a result, ThymoQuin offers higher potency, purity, and bioavailability than other black seed oils on the market.”
