Bioriginal’s refined Echium Oil provides an unique fatty acid composition being a combination of Omega 3, 6 and 9 in natural form. The product can be applied as a plant-based alternative for fish oils since it contains a minimum of 12% Stearidonic Acid (SDA), the precursor of EPA. This makes refined Echium Oil extra interesting for vegetarians and vegans and for those disliking potential off flavours of fish oil. The oil remains neutral in taste and stable over time. Besides SDA, refined Echium Oil also contains the functional fatty acids Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA typically 33%) and Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA typically 12%).
Refined Echium Oil will be marketed under Bioriginal’s brand name BioMega SDA.
