Neurohacker Collective launches “novel” adaptogen supplement targeting stressed consumers
24 Aug 2022 --- US-based Neurohacker Collective is launching a stress-reduction and productivity-boosting supplement utilizing neuro-adaptogens. The Qualia Resilience product aims to strengthen the company’s presence across the health and wellness market.
The item enhances the brain’s ability to process stress by supporting cognitive processes, the vagus nerve and parasympathetic nervous system.
“The tougher challenge was to neurochemically balance support for stress relief and productive focus at the same time. Qualia Resilience offers a form of nutritional support that promotes these two forms of mental enhancement simultaneously. That balance provides novel market potential,” says James Schmachtenberger, Neurohacker CEO.
A primary target lies in consumers dealing with workplace stress, as well as other areas of life dealing with tense circumstances, he adds.

Sustained high stress is linked to a wide array of serious health concerns. Many common habits aiming to relieve stress, such as drinking or binge eating, are linked to consequential health issues.
In a bid to tackle the segment, the company says it spent “the last several years” researching a little-known class of dietary ingredients: neuro-adaptogens. Neurohacker’s pre-launch beta test revealed that 14 out of 17 participants reported a 15% stress score decrease and 82% greater mental toughness.
According to the same study which lasted four weeks, 71% of participants reported less burnout, with an average decrease in self-rated burnout at 30%. The preliminary data – which did not include a placebo group – also revealed Qualia Resilience supported a calmer mood, with 65% of participants reported experiencing an impact.

Key ingredients in the product include freeze-dried melon juice for superoxide dismutase, as a potent antioxidant targeting perceived stress and promoting well-being. It also contains liposomal ashwagandha as a nootropic to improve mental function and holy basil for stress support.
Ginger root extract targeting the gut-brain axis was utilized for its adaptogen properties, as is Eleutherococcus senticosus, an adaptogenic herb most commonly used to support the body’s natural ability to adapt to the stress of everyday life and its capacity for mental and physical work.

Growing segment?
The adaptogen industry has broadened its market reach, capitalizing on stressed consumers across the globe. Individuals are drawn to the items seeking to find products similar tocoffee but without relying on the adverse effects of caffeine.
COVID-19, in particular, drove an “alarming” use of supplements with consumers seeking natural ingredients to boost their immunity and support them during lockdown stresses.
Functional F&B applications are driving advances across the adaptogen market, with consumers seeking scientific backing, bioavailability and palatability for the segment. Last year, the company launched Qualia Vision targeting digital eye strain and Qualia Senolytic earlier this year to diminish senescent cells.
