Latest Ahara meal plan and rewards program fosters greater control of health goals
08 Apr 2024 --- Precision nutrition company Ahara is introducing two new product features to its personalized nutrition program. With daily meal plans and a user reward system, the program looks to give consumers greater control of their health and reach their goals.
“We’re committed to empowering individuals to take control of their health journey through accessible and effective nutrition solutions. Our personalized meal plans and rewards program not only encourages healthy eating habits but also reinforces the value of utilizing the app daily as a comprehensive tool for personalized nutrition guidance,” says Julie Wainwright, co-founder and CEO of Ahara.
The company’s proprietary algorithm provides personalized recommendations for food and supplements. The new rewards program incentivizes users to prioritize healthy eating habits and offers points redeemable for credit. The meal plan simplifies the integration of foods rich in key nutrients into the daily diet.
Targeting key nutrients
Ahara’s personalized meal plans hone in on users’ unique vital nutrients with a weekly scheme for eating healthily. They can access their account to find customized recipes tailored to their needs. Recipes can be saved, added, deleted or added to a grocery list integrated with Instacart.
The company’s scientifically-based questionnaire and personalized recommendations give users a nutrition report featuring their body’s essential nutrients and access to practical solutions for achieving their nutrition goals without needing in-person consultations.
The rewards system allows users to accumulate points through daily engagement with the app. In addition, points are earned for saving recipes, creating shopping lists and scanning menus and users can redeem the points for credits on purchases.
Nutrition guides
Strategic consultancy Qina aims to provide an operational AI framework for companies, practitioners and developers in the nutrition, F&B, digital health and ingredients sectors. The company shared its insights on AI use in a newly released white paper — “The ethics of AI at the intersection of nutrition and behavior change.”
Meanwhile, a new digital nutrition guide tailors daily meals to a person’s individual preferences and dietary requirements. It is specifically designed for people with weight management goals, food allergies and digestive issues. Food tech start-up Verdify says consumers can join the free platform – dubbed Noory – online, where they can create a personal profile.
In addition, researchers from the American Society for Nutrition have proposed extending current personalized nutrition by creating adaptive, personalized nutrition advice systems customized to individual needs in real-life environments.
