Infinit Nutrition unveils hydration and electrolyte platform for athletic performance
06 Dec 2023 --- US-based personalized nutrition specialist Infinit Nutrition has launched its Performance Labs platform to improve athletes’ approach to hydration, electrolyte monitoring and nutrition. The platform leverages wearable technology and nutrition coaching services.
The platform’s suite of tools, such as the Nix Hydration Biosensor and SweatyPatch, gathers information about fluid and electrolyte losses.
“We are committed to pushing the boundaries of sports nutrition. With Performance Labs, we deliver cutting-edge solutions that empower athletes to achieve their ultimate performance,” says Michael Folan, CEO at Infinit.
Personalized performance fuel
The digital platform measures and collects information about a person’s fluid and electrolyte losses. The results and biometric information are uploaded to the Data Share Portal for expert analysis and generate a personalized report.
The athlete receives a customized hydration and fueling plan and tailored nutrition formulas to help them achieve their intake targets. Certified sports dietitian nutritionists provide the sweat and hydration analysis report and personalized recommendations.
Performance Labs users receive ongoing nutrition coaching and support. The personalized formulas are adjusted to the changing seasons and race conditions.
The Nix Hydration Biosensor analyzes sweat and electrolyte loss data and delivers real-time insights on the right formula and quantities to drink via phone or other electronic devices. The SweatyPatch by HydroLabs is a single-use patch that measures sweat rate data to keep athletes hydrated.
Clean ingredients for optimal digestion
Infinit Nutrition has production facilities in the US, Australia and the Czech Republic. The company’s proprietary Osmo-Fit system, hydration and ready-to-mix protein supplements are made with clean natural ingredients and formulated for easy digestion in extreme conditions.
In other industry developments, Gatorade launched a Gx bottle that tracks personalized hydration needs and indicates when to drink with a light-up cap. The bottle is an addition to the company’s Gx range, designed for athletes to fulfill their hydration needs, with an additional app and sweat patch for optimal recommendations.
Applied Nutrition introduced Body Fuel, a sugar-free, electrolyte water sports drink with less than five calories per serving.
In addition, Arla Foods Ingredients unveiled a concept of a functional drink to aid in rehydration and recovery. The RTD sports nutrition solution features Lacprodan SP-9213, a whey protein isolate that can retain functionality when paired with electrolytes.
