IMCD to showcase functional frappuccinos and reduced cheese concepts at FiSA 2025
IMCD will present a portfolio of coffee shop-inspired concepts at Food ingredients South America (FiSA) 2025, August 26-28 in São Paulo, Brazil. The company says it will focus on nutrition, taste, texture, and affordability, and will present a latte made with medium-chain triglycerides (MCT).
According to IMCD, it plans to showcase how indulgence, convenience, and nutritional balance can be combined in product development. The concepts explore the addition of fibers and the use of formulation technologies that preserve flavor and texture while adjusting composition.
“At FiSA 2025, we want to demonstrate that it is possible to offer tasty, convenient, and nutritious products without compromising the consumer experience,” explains Rafael Ferrarese, Business Unit director of Food & Nutrition at IMCD Brazil.
“Each application IMCD will present at the event reflects our commitment to combining indulgence, nutritional balance, and affordability, translating the industry’s key trends into real market solutions.”
Fast, fun, and fuctional
IMCD will also present a dulce de leite frappuccino prototype made with MCT for creamy texture and a cinnamon brioche toast enriched with fiber. MCT has been linked to immune health, cognition, and weight management benefits.

The company explains that its offerings are meant to demonstrate how convenience times, such as coffee-related occasions, can be expanded through innovation to include functional health ingredients that meet evolving consumer demands.
IMCD Brazil will also feature a provolone cheese bread with 20% less cheese while maintaining the traditional texture and flavor, a savory cheese and leek muffin with 20% reduced cheese, a chocolate cookie with 30% less cocoa, and fiber-enriched chocolate with vanilla notes.
Other concepts include a creamy cheese-style dip formulated with 40% less dairy cream and a guava dip designed to deliver a sweet-and-savory experience when paired with pão de queijo — traditional Brazilian cheese balls. Its JuiceSmart drink will showcase reduced juice and sugar content aimed at balancing taste with affordability.
By anchoring its showcase in the popular coffee shop experience, IMCD says it is looking to spotlight practical applications for new formulations in South America’s growing food and beverage sector.
