LTP’s functional food ingredient, Olibra, which addresses weight management, is derived from palm oil and oat oil.
LTP’s functional food ingredient, Olibra, which addresses weight management, is derived from palm oil and oat oil. When applied as a food ingredient, the product has a scientifically substantiated effect of prolonging the feeling of fullness, resulting in significant reductions in energy intake at subsequent meals, according to four published clinical studies.
“This agreement with GNC is an important stepping-stone in our strategy to enter into the dietary supplement market world-wide. There is a clear demand for innovative, functional products, with good clinical documentation in the expanding weight management category.” says Jörgen Quick, Managing Director of LTP.
Based on a novel product development, GNC has launched Olibra as a major extension into their weight management brand “Total Lean”. The product is named “Total Lean-Reduce”. Total Lean-Reduce is a single effective 7.5g dose, which can be safely added to normal food, taken at breakfast and/or lunch. The single dose product is packed in convenient strips for easy use.
