Flo Vitamins unveils O Positiv brand for PMS symptoms, digestion and immunity
25 Oct 2021 --- Flo Vitamins, a premenstrual syndrome (PMS) gummy producer, is releasing its parent brand O Positiv, which will cater to women’s wellness and beauty needs. O Postiv will also feature new products across a “diverse set of verticals,” and address women’s issues surrounding PMS. Additionally, the brand features products targeting immunity and digestion.
Flo is branded as one of the first brands to take on PMS with a science-backed gummy supplement. According to the company, the brand’s design demonstrated efficacy, and social media presence addressed the stigma surrounding menstruation.
“O Positiv is more than just a period brand – it’s a wellness destination for each aspect of a woman’s life, which is why we have products that help boost immunity and aid digestion, as well as fight PMS symptoms,” says Brianna Bitton, co-founder of Flo and O Positiv.
The gummies are candy ring shapes and the gummy product names all end with an O, notes Bitton.
“The launch of O Positiv and the new website represents an exciting frontier as we tackle more diverse women’s issues as successfully as we’ve tackled PMS,” co-founder Bobby Bitton added.
O Positiv’s offerings
O Positiv will follow Flo in addressing common women’s issues by launching Flo PMS gummy vitamins, the Gogo Prebiotic fiber gummy and the GTFO Immunity gummy vitamins.
The Flo PMS gummy vitamins are formulated with ChasteBerry that alleviate hormonal acne and mood swings and have been shown to decrease PMS symptoms in approximately 93% of women.
The PMS gummy also contains Dong Quai to relieve cramps and bloating and lemon balm that targets cramps, digestion issues and stress.
Digestion is supported with the Gogo Prebiotic fiber gummies that address weight management, good gut bacteria and bowel regularity. The Gogo gummies are formulated with fiber derived from the chicory root. This root aids in regulating appetite and stimulates the growth of healthy bacteria.
Elderberry, Zinc and vitamin C are featured in the GTFO Immunity gummies, and these ingredients support immune health, anti-inflammatory response and the body’s immune defenses, respectively.
In addition to O Positiv’s announcement, the founders of Flo are debuting a new digital storefront designed by feminist designer Paula Scher.
The storefront will showcase new products designed to tackle common everyday problems women are facing and acute issues that don’t receive enough attention.
Targeting PMS
NutritionInsight previously reported on NPD that targets PMS symptoms. In September, Country Life Vitamins unveiled Women’s Line – supplements targeting critical aspects of the female body, including symptoms of PMS such as cramps, water retention, moodiness and breast tenderness.
Also, Amy Wellness unveiled a PMS and Cramp Rescue featuring adaptogen ingredients, and The Functional Chocolate Company released chocolates that target PMS symptoms.
