FiE 2024: Lapi Gelatine’s latest advancements in gelatin and collagen solutions
At this year’s Food ingredients Europe (FiE) 2024 tradeshow, Lapi Gelatine spotlighted its gelatine and collagen peptides solutions. The company emphasized that its ingredients are wholly produced in Europe and meet exceptional quality and safety standards and are suitable across pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and nutraceutical sectors.
Nutrition Insight sat down with Fabio Da Lozzo, the general manager of Lapi Gelatine and Juncà Gelatines, to discuss the companies’ latest innovations and market trends.
“At FiE 2024, we represented both Lapi Gelatine and Juncà Gelatines, bringing together our comprehensive portfolio of gelatine and collagen products from three origins — bovine, fish and porcine,” reveals Da Lozzo. “This joint offering allowed us to meet the diverse needs of our clients across food, supplement and nutraceutical applications.”

Functional and sustainable
Innova Market Insights’ data suggest a 10% yearly growth in nutrition products with collagen from April 2019 to March 2024, with Europe leading in launches of collagen supplements and sports nutrition. The supplement category, particularly concentrates, shows the fastest growth in using collagen.
Da Lozzo highlights that ingredients such as Lapi Gelatine’s high-quality gelatin, Lapigel and its odorless and tasteless hydrolyzed collagen, Peptolap, alongside Juncà Gelatines’ collagen hydrolysate line Protesol, position the companies well for to meet growing market demands.
