Dr. Kayte’s Formulas targets breast implant illness with supplement launch for silicone implants
10 Dec 2021 --- Dr. Kayte’s Formulas has launched the Silicone Implant Support Formula, a supplement that promotes healthy healing for people with silicone implants. In particular, the supplement is claimed to combat a phenomenon known as breast implant illness (BII).
Founder Dr. Kayte Susse has stated there is an untapped market among people with silicone implants.
“Inspired to help others facing similar predicaments largely unacknowledged by the traditional medical community, Dr. Kayte works to understand the long-term implications of these exposures to the function of bodily systems and overall vitality,” the company says.
The supplement contains vitamins that have been scientifically proven to support healthy scar tissue generation and immune function. Vitamins B9 and B12 are said to support “detoxification,” methylation, and liver conjugation. Vitamins A, D, E and K all support skin health and scar tissue generation. The capsules also contain selenium and zinc.
The lab-tested capsules are vegan and free from soy and gluten.
Dr. Kayte’s supplements arrive at a time when ingestible beauty supplements have become a market mainstay.
Silicone implant complications
Susse formulated the product after suffering complications from her own silicone breast implants. She says that while the surgery seemed successful at first, her health rapidly deteriorated.
“After getting implants I started to experience post-workout pain like never before. That was my first symptom. The pain was systemic (full body) and it kept me up at night. I stopped working out but the pain was still there. Then my brain started behaving differently, there was intense fog and memory changes,” says Susse.
When she approached doctors about her symptoms, she received little help. “My doctors had no answers. I was told there was nothing wrong with me,” she says. Eventually, she found out about BII.
Breast implant illness
BII is a general term that refers to a range of complications that may arise after receiving breast implants. An autoimmune response usually causes it. The symptoms can include fatigue, respiratory problems, appetite disturbances, anxiety, hair loss, digestive issues, rashes and more.
According to the BreastCancer organization, the disorder is heavily associated with chronic conditions like lupus, arthritis and scleroderma. Some sufferers report their symptoms go away after having their implants removed, while others report symptoms even after removal.
There is currently no established cure for the condition.
