Collagen authenticity: Rousselot reaffirms commitment to transparency in agreement with By-Health
23 Oct 2019 --- Collagen-based solutions provider Rousselot has signed a new five-year strategic agreement with By-Health, a Chinese dietary supplements company. This agreement follows previous collaboration between the two companies, which began in 2002. The agreement renews previous agreements to guarantee company transparency and traceability.
“With this agreement renewal, we will continue to bring high-quality products to the market. The agreement will play a role in educating consumers on the relationship between health and nutrition products, with a deep and positive influence on the industry,” says Liang Shuisheng, Vice President of By-Health.
The agreement will secure Rousselot’s gelatin and collagen peptide supply to the Chinese nutraceutical market. Meanwhile, it aims to strengthen cooperation between Rousselot and By-Health when it comes to ingredient research and development, production, marketing communications, regulation and clinical studies.
The health benefits of collagen are wide. As a dietary supplement, collagen peptides can improve overall bone health by simultaneously targeting bone formation and bone resorption. Moreover, oral supplementation with Peptan collagen peptides may significantly contribute to improving the overall appearance of skin and hair in an ethnically diverse population. The brands and products were split into three new segments: Rousselot Health & Nutrition, Rousselot Biomedical and Rousselot Functional Ingredients.
