Bioiberica to reveal medical nutrition advanced wound care ingredients at CPHI 2023
15 Sep 2023 --- Global life science company Bioiberica has set out to present its latest research into mobility, digestive and skin health branded ingredients ahead of CPHI 2023, taking place in Barcelona, Spain, in October.
The company will spotlight its expertise in wound care for the first time along with its active pharmaceutical ingredients, chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine for the symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis, natural desiccated thyroid for endocrinology and its flagship ingredient, Heparin.
“CPHI is always a fantastic opportunity to connect with customers – new and old – but the excitement has been taken up a notch this year as we welcome key stakeholders from across the global pharmaceutical landscape to our hometown, Barcelona,” says Luis Solera, CEO at Bioiberica.
Advancements in wound care
Bioiberica has turned its focus to advanced wound care, a burgeoning area of research in the medical nutrition space and will elaborate on these findings at the prominent pharma event, which will take place from Tuesday, October 24 to Thursday, October 27. Another key aspect of its strategy moving forward is sustainability, aligned with the publication of its 2023 climate strategy report.
“CPHI offers us a platform to highlight the substantial strides we’ve made to strengthen these foundations and showcase how we’re supporting our customers in addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry,” notes Solera.Bioiberica will reveal several new focus areas of research and innovation at CPHI 2023.
“Progression in the healthcare space hinges on three key pillars: science, sustainability and strategic partnership.”
The company will also present its latest research supporting the efficacy of branded ingredients such as its native undenatured type II collagen Collavant n2, hyaluronic acid matrix ingredients Mobilee for joint health and mobility and Dermial for skin health. DAOgest (diamine oxidase enzyme) will also be showcased for histamine intolerance.
Circular bioeconomy
Environmental sustainability is “top of the agenda” for Bioiberica, with several initiatives in the pipeline through which it will help enhance its clients’ green credentials in the face of mounting regulatory and retail pressures.
The company will present its circular bioeconomy model to obtain total renewable electricity by 2024, 30% less GHG emissions by 2030 and climate neutrality by 2050.
Sustainable development is a part of the new era of ecological civilization. It relies on rivers, mountains, forests and lakes to provide nutritious diets while not compromising on environmental security, which is the goal of “the big food view,” according to a new study.
The future food system highlights breakthroughs in food nutrition and health, with cell-based food solutions and 3D printing being some of the main methods to solve major challenges for the future, the researchers argue.
