Albion granted UK derogation for amino acid products
The products containing the Albion minerals, according to the derogation granted, are now allowed to be sold through the end of 2009
23/05/05 Albion Advanced Nutrition has announced that it has been granted derogation from the United Kingdom Food Standards Agency on the following ingredients: Calcium Amino Acid Chelate, Magnesium Amino Acid Chelate, Iron Amino Acid Chelate (Ferrochel), Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, and Chromium Amino Acid Chelate (Chromium Chelavite). The granting of these derogations allows these Albion mineral ingredients to be used in food supplements and sold throughout the United Kingdom.
The products containing these Albion minerals, according to the derogation granted, are now allowed to be sold through the end of 2009, provided that the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) does not give an unfavorable opinion before then. The granting of the derogation for the continuance of sale must be in effect for that ingredient for it to be sold after August 1st 2005.
