7-Eleven introduces Crystal Light Raspberry Ice Slurpee
Now available in its Canadian stores, Crystal Light Slurpee is the first calorie-reduced Slurpee.
16/06/05 With calorie counts at the top of everyone's grocery list, 7-Eleven has answered the call for a calorie-reduced frozen drink by introducing Crystal Light Raspberry Ice Slurpee. Now available in its Canadian stores, Crystal Light Slurpee is the first calorie-reduced Slurpee.
Crystal Light drink mix is a Kraft product, traditionally sold as a powder to be mixed with water to create a refreshing low-calorie drink.
In development for several years, 7-Eleven and Kraft faced a big challenge in developing a calorie-reduced Slurpee beverage for Canadian connoisseurs.
Now, in an effort to meet the needs of thirsty, calorie-counters looking for a summer cool down, Crystal Light Raspberry Ice join other off-beat Slurpee favorites such as Wacky Watermelon, Darth Dew, and Fruitopia Freeze.
First introduced in 1965, Slurpee, the frosty, carbonated beverage was an instant hit. Slurpee celebrates its 40th birthday this summer, and on July 11, the company will offer free 7.11 oz. Slurpees to the first 1,000 customers at each of its Canadian stores.
The new Crystal Light Slurpee beverage is part of a company initiative to include a wider selection of better-for-you food and snack choices for more calorie-conscious consumers.
