With that said, let's begin today's webinar with our speaker's presentations before we round off with that Q&A session.
Over to you, Dana.
Thank you, Brad.
So, , just to give you a bit, a little bit of background, Montelueder was founded back in 1996, and over all these years, we have built a strong reputation in the global nutrasurgical space, not only in Europe but also in the United States and Asia.
So, everything we do is driven by three key pillars, which are quality, science, and innovation.
And this allowed us to develop unique health and wellness solutions that deliver real and visible benefits for consumers.
Today, our portfolio is supported by more than 25, scientific publications, and that includes also 7 branded botanical ingredients with proven efficacy across different health areas.
And in the slide here, you see, for example, we have our metabola.
Which offering a comprehensive approach to metabolic health, including weight management through a GLP-1 release boosting effect, increasing basal metabolism, supporting cardiovascular aspect, and also healthier microbiome modulation.
We also have a relaxed BLX which is a natural solution for balance and recovery, helping to reduce cortisol levels in blood, improving mood, and also supporting endogenous melatonin production for a better sleep quality.
We also have our MOD PLX designing for muscle and joint health, our Mind Revive, targeting cognitive performance through multiple pathways.
Our Erizara, formerly known as zero pollution, which is a patent blend of full botanical extracts with dual effect on the scalp and skin, we're gonna be talking more, today, and also our Nutroxan 365, which is a year-round solution that helps improve skin radiance by protecting key structural proteins such as collagen and elastin.
And finally, we also have our eternal gen, which target at skin agent at a deeper level, focusing on intrinsic cellular mechanism such as the telomere shortening.
So in today's webinar, we will be focusing on two areas that are highly important for consumers today, which are skin radiance and glow, and hair, and, and hair beauty.
We will explore the benefits that two of our ingredients deliver.
At the structural level and how this internal improvement can be translated into visible results.
So in other words, it's what consumers feel and what they actually see in the mirror when incorporating our ingredients into their daily routine.
So, what's really driving the aging, the skin aging?
So, today, we know a skin aging is not a single-factor process.
We know it's a combination of several intrinsic and also extrinsic factors.
In the intrinsic side, for example, we can see things like genetic information, aging processes such as the telomere shortening, the decline in fibroblast activity, among many others.
On the extrinsic side, we also see, we are exposed to everyday UV radiation, to pollution, to climate and other factors.
And we also have lifestyle factors and the way each of us manage different aspects such as nutrition, stress, physical activity, and sleep, which will have a direct impact on epigenetics, either accelerating or slowing down the aging process.
So together all these factors leads to an increase of oxidative stress, inflammation, to collagen breakdown, to the loss of skin structure, and finally, all this will lead also to the appearance of wrinkles, dryness, uneven skin tone, and other visible signs of aging.
And unfortunately, this is not a seasonal process.
It is in fact a continuous process happening all the time.
And that's why today we want to talk about the structural beauty axis and share with you how skin radiance and hair beauty originate from a healthy internal structure and overall balance.
So we want to share with you the structural support that two of our ingredients provide.
In the case of Nutroxam 365, for example, offering a convenient year-run strategy by supporting internal biological processes such as preventing the degradation of collagen and elastin.
And translated these internal benefits into tangible, visible outcomes like like can be improved skin elasticity, enhanced radiance, and a visible reduction in wrinkle depths that in the case of these ingredients, we see it in as little as 15 days.
In the case of Elizara, providing a structural support at the scalp level and addressing her health and beauty from the inside out, including benefits such as improved hydration, semen regulation, and overall scalp balance among others.
So let's dive into Nutraxone 365 branded ingredients, which is designed for a year-round use and providing a structural support through collagen preservation.
So, Nutroxone 65, it's a blend of two botanical extracts made from rosemary and grapefruit, and it works synergy, it works in synergy to provide internal structure support which is translated into visible improvement in the skin.
At a very low dose of only 100 mg per day, it delivers proven mechanism of actions related to the preservation of key skin proteins such as collagen and elastin.
Helping maintain skin structure and integrity and resulting in visible, smoother, firmer, and more radiant looking skin.
And I will now, I, I'll now will hand it over to my colleague Nore Caturla who will walk you through the next slides and dive deeper into this ingredient.
So, hello everyone.
Now we are going to more deeper about the mechanism of action of neutroxan.
So Nutroxan supports the skin health through several complementary mechanisms.
First, it helps to reduce oxidative stress by limiting the directive oxygen species generated by UV exposure and other external stressors.
It also helps to modulate inflammation, which is closely linked to photoaging and visible skin damage.
By controlling both oxidative stress and inflammation, Nutroxan helps to preserve collagen elastin, which are essential for maintaining the skin firmness or a structural integrity.
In parallel, it helps to regulate the matrix metanoproteinassis or so-called MMPs that are enzymes involved in the extracellular matrix breakdown.
So overall, neutroxan helps protect cellular function and support a skin that remains more resilient, healthy looking, and radiant from within.
The anti-aging benefits of neutroxan has been clinically proven in a double-blind placebo controlled study involving 19 volunteers having 100 mg of Nutroxan on placebo.
In this graph, it is representing the wrinkle death variation compared with the start of the study.
As you can see in this graph, neutroxan has been some significantly reduce the wrinkle death in subjects having our ingredient.
We have significant evidence in just 15 days of consumption compared with the start.
Of the study as compared with the placebo group.
In fact, after only 15 days, the wrinkle death in the CrossFit area was reduced by 9%, reaching the 50% of reduction after two months of product consumption.
Also, we saw that neutrox sand improved both growth and netted skin elasticity.
What is particular relevant is that these benefits also were already significant after just two weeks compared with the placebo and they continue increasing over time.
By the end of the study, gross elasticity increased by 4.6%, while net elasticity reached.
And more than 9% of improvement versus baseline.
So overall these findings translated into a firmer skin, better elastic recovery, and a stronger structural resilience.
Building on these findings, we then looked at whether nut of sand could help preserve key structural proteins of the skin under UV-induced oxidative stress.
In this study, human dermal fibroblasts were exposed to UV radiation, and the secretion of both elastin and procoagin one was measured.
As you can see in both graphs, as expected, UV exposure significantly reduced both collagen and elastin, confirming the structural damage associated with photoaging.
However, with the fibroblasts were incubated with our ingredient with Nutroxin, this effect was progressively reversed with a stronger response in at the highest concentration, as you can see in, in the bold graphs.
In fact, in terms of elastin, it was restored to around the baseline levels and procyagin one increased clearly.
Versus the UV stress control.
So, once we have seen that neutroxan helps preserve elastin and procollagen and the UV induced stress, we wanted to better understand the mechanisms behind this protective effect.
One of the pathways you explore was the modulation of the matrix metalloproteinassis activity, which are this case enzymes involved in extracellular matrix breakdown.
These enzymes become overactivating with aging and also in response to different external aggressions such as radiation, oxidative stress, inflammation, pollutants, etc.
When that happens, they accelerate the breakdown of key extracellular matrix components including collagen, elastin, fibronnin, aluminum among others, which are essential part to maintain our skin firmness and strength and with elasticity.
As you can see in the graph of this slide, neutralsound was able to inhibit multiple relevant MMPs in a dose dependent manner, including MMP 1238 and 12 with an IC 50 value below 20 mcg per milliliter and with the strongest inhibition observing for MMP 12.
This inhibition.
Give an idea of how our ingredients protect against the excessive degradation of the starcellular matrix components that are responsible for er the skin biomechanical properties.
Also, the efficacy of neutroxan in modulation these key MMPs was demonstrated in a human dermal fibroblast exposed to UVB radiation.
In that case, we focus only on two of these enzymes in the MMP 1 and the MMP 3.
That are both especially relevant in the matrix remodeling and photoaging.
For instance, while MMP1 is directly involved in the fibril a collagen degradation, MMMP 3 has a broader profile and can also activate another metaloproteinassis amplifying the disease breakdown.
That is why it is also very important to study er both of them.
What we observe is that er UVB radiation clearly increase both enzymes compared with the non-irradiated controls as can see in, in this graph er that the black bar is significantly increased compared with the gray bar.
And how in the presence of Nutroxan was able to counteract this response.
In the case of MMP3, we observed that Nutroxan produced a clearly dose depend inhibition with a statistically significant reduction across the three dose tested in the study.
Regarding the MMP one, the most relevant significant effect was observed at the concentration of 0.0025% where the UVB induced increase was reduced to the basal levels.
Overall, with this study we have proven how our ingredients will protect the skin structure by reducing also the UV induced MMP activity.
And beyond the mechanism.
And the clinical measure benefits.
An important final question is whether these improvements are also perceived by the consumers?
And the answer is yes, as reflected in the sales assessment questionnaire included also in the clinical trial where the consumer reported a clear and meaningful improvement in both the quality and the visible appearance of their skin.
Here are some of the, of the numbers we obtained in the CEL assessment questionnaire.
For instance, 80% of the volunteers felt their skin was more moisturized.
77% noticed an improvement in the overall skin appearance, 63% felt their skin was firmer and less flaccid, and 60% report.
A reduction in their wrinkles.
In addition, 77% of them noticed a more even skin tone and 60% perceive their skin was with a lighter appearance.
So the ability of consumers to notice this visible improvement is highly important for the commercial success of beauty from within products.
Now we move to the next er ingredient.
Super, thank you, Nuria, so let's move into our next topic, her beauty, vitality.
So, on, when we talk about beauty and vitality of hair, it's not only, about the hair itself, it also involves other equally important factors such as the hair foundation itself, the scalp, right?
Where follicles, sebaceous glands, and the skin barrier are constantly interacting.
And when this environment is in balance, we, we see like it creates ideal conditions for visible, healthier looking hair.
For example, a healthy scalp ensures that the hair follicle receive the necessary nutrients, the oxygen, the hydration, promoting a strong and healthy hair growth.
While if the scalp is compromised, hair might grow more slowly, become weaker, or not growth at all.
A balanced scalp also helps preventing issues such as excessive oiliness, dryness, inflammation.
Conditions like dandruff, itching, or scalp infections can also damage hair follicles, leading to thinning or hair loss as.
A -nourished scalp regulates oil production, preventing clogging, follicles and maintaining the right exact balance we need so the hair is neither too oily, neither, nor too dry, right?
So this helps, to keep the hair moisturized, smooth, shiny, and in contrast, unhealthy scalp can lead to dull, frizzy, or fragile health.
So a hair that grows from a healthy scalp is more resilient, is less prone to breakage, split ends, and other types of damage.
Ultimately, a healthy scalp will always enhance overall hair beauty and vitality.
What we see in the market today is that most of her supplements focus on nourishing the hair fiber, using ingredients such as keratin, collagen, and biotin, which is very good.
However, for a truly comprehensive approach, this support should start at the very root of the hair, so it means it should start at the scalp.
And to address this approach, we have developed Elizara, which is an ingredient focused on improving scalp health, which translates into visible enhanced hair quality and radiance.
So let's begin into this one.
Elizara is a patented botanical blend of lemon verbena, rosemary extract, olive leaf extract, and sourra japonica.
At a low daily dose of only 250 mg, its benefits has been proven in two clinical studies already.
This study showed that this botanical complex support a scalp from within, so support the scalp physiology, which translates into a visible improved hair radiance and shine.
And my colleague Igoria will now dive deeper into the mechanism of actions and results, including benefits such as improved scalp hydration, sebu regulation, among others.
Thank you that night.
To better explain how Elizara works, we can summarize its activity into 4 main pillars of scalp balance.
The first one is the hydrotension balance, helping maintain optimal moisture levels for a more comfortable scalp.
The second is the 7 regulation which supports a balance of levels and helps keep the skull cleaner looking and more stable over time.
The third one is the barrier support.
This is important because the skull barrier plays a key role in maintaining water balance and protecting the, the skull from external stressors.
And finally, the fourth pillar is the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory defense.
It helps protect the skull against everyday environmental aggression that can contribute to an imbalance and a discomfort.
Overall, Elizara is a scalp wellness solution that helps restore and maintain scalp balance, will in turn support a visible hair and quality.
In addition to the skin benefits previously demonstrated for Elizara, we have also clinically proven clear benefits for scalp health.
In a double-blind placebo controlled study with 66 women, half of them with sensitive scalp, we observed significantly benefits.
For instance, we saw a significant reduction in the scan 7 content as it can be seen in, in these two graphs.
In the first graph, it is so the, the 7 content variation compared to the start of the study, both in subjects.
Having 250 mg of Elizara of placebo product.
As you can see, in the overall population, after just one month, 7 levels were already reduced by around 10% and this effect increased over time.
Reaching a 60% of reduction by the end of the study.
The, in the case of the placebo, it's so minimal changes.
But what happened in subjects with only a scar?
The results were even more er better.
Even more stronger.
In fact, by the end of the study, studies with only a scalp saw a reduction of more than 26% in the seven content.
Another case finding was an improvement in the skull bearing function, as was shown by the reduction in the transdermal water loss, which helped prevent excessive water evaporation together with a marked increase in the scalp moisturization, reaching in both cases, a 40% of improvement by the end of the study.
But it is important is that these effects were already significantly compared with the placebo after just one month of product supplementation.
Beyond the instrumental results, a clinical evaluation by a dermatologist was also performed to assess visible improvement in the skull condition over time.
What we observed was a progressive increase in the number of science subjects showing a visible improvement through the study.
In the overall population, improvement was seen in 42% of the participants after just 4 weeks.
After 8 weeks, 71% of the participants saw a significant improvement and by the end of the study, the the studies that saw a clinical improvement was 64%.
But what happened with the subject with sensitive scar?
The improvement was even more pronounced in this population.
In fact, at week 4, 59% of the subjects with sensitive scalp saw a clinical improvement in the scalp condition, reaching the 75% at week 8 and 71% by the end of the study.
This is particularly relevant because in this type of clinical evaluation, the product is considered effective when more than 50% of the subjects saw an improvement.
So the results confirm that Telisara delivers a clinical visible scalp benefit, specifically, especially in the sensitive scalp population.
In addition to the clinical findings, participants also perceived a clear improvement as reflected in the sales assessment questionnaire on the scalp conditions and hair quality.
In fact, 75.8% of the volunteers reported an improvement in the scalp condition while 78.8% perceived a healthier looking hair.
In addition, 70.
8.8% describe the hair as a stronger feeling and more than 75% reported a rated looking hair.
In the sensitive skull subgroup, more than 82% of them reported an immense scalp on her head.
These results reinforce Eliara's dual benefit, supporting both scalp wellness and also visible hair quality.
Finally, I want to give you some.
News that ongoing research is expanding the potential of Elizara beyond skin health with a promising result in supporting also Elizara in the health growth and also in helping reduce hair fall.
So, thank you very much and now I give you the floor to my colleague Dana.
Thank you, Nuria.
Just as a way to conclude a little bit, what we have seen today is that skin and hair beauty, they are not driven by single factors, so they are really a result of multiple and continuous processes from environmental exposure to intrinsic aging and lifestyle.
At Monteloeder, our approach is to address these challenges from within through clinically supported and science-driven ingredients.
With our neutral sun, our Elizara, and our eternal young, we offer a comprehensive inside-out strategy to support healthier, more resilient, and visible younger-looking skin and hair.
So, it is important to say in all our ingredients, we always combine strong science, mechanism of actions proven with the real perceptions of consumers.
So this is important for companies today because we need to be led by, by science for sure, but we also need to make sure that consumers buying the products, they see there is a change, a positive change they can perceive when they are looking at their mirror and they are looking at their skin.
So, just to say that on behalf of, of our team in Montelueder, Nuria and myself, we would like to thank all the participants for being here today, and , we will be very happy to take any question.
A big thanks for both of our speakers for their insightful presentations.
Once again, this is Brad Nichols from Nutrition Insight, and I'll now host a Q&A session with our experts.
Some great questions have already been submitted, so let's get started.
Our first question is related to Nutroxin 365.
And one of our viewers is asking, is nuroxin ingredient already used in the EU market?
Dana, do you think you could take that one for us?
Sure, sure, totally, but, Nutrexone 365 is already used by important brands, in Europe that commercialize their products in different, channels including, physical and online pharmacy and health practitioners, online shop, even cosmetic boutiques, including this ingredient, mixing sometimes with collagen with biotines, other times, by itself, and it is important to say that in the case of neutral.
Sun, it's an ingredient which is not only present in the European market but also has presence in the United States and Asia, and I want to highlight this point, since we are seeing more and more European companies, operating or trying to, start operations in other areas such as the United States, Canada, or as, Asian countries.
And for example, in the case, specifically case of Nutra Sun, if we talk about About, you know, it's, potential worldwidewhile from a regulatory perspective, this ingredient is considered an ODI in the United States, so all the other ingredient which support this commercialization and this, important market in Canada as.
It has an approved health claim from the, N8 HPD, which you know it's a, is the regulatory authority in the Health Canada responsible for overseeing natural health products.
In Asia also, it's very recognized in different countries including, for example, Japan and Korea.
In Korea, it also have a health clean approved by the Korean Food and Drug Administration, which you know, it's also the regulatory body over there.
So in general, yes, it is , you know, it's present in, in, in Europe but also in other important regions which as America, United States, and and Asian countries.
That's great.
Thank you for that excellent answer today.
Nuria, I think we also have a question for you.
One of the viewers is asking, how soon can they expect to see visible results from Neutralin 365?
Oh, very interesting question.
So, you, you can expect the first visible benefits quite quickly because We have proven that neutral sun also has a certain benefits in terms of support, after sun overexposure.
We have some that neutral sun effects from the first day of intake with improving the retina recovery with about 24 hours after sun overexposure.
In terms of changing benefits as we have seen in, in the presentation, we saw significant difference after just two weeks of product consumption with a reduction in the wrinkle depth, improving the skin elasticity, etc.
All right.
I'm just gonna stay with Nutroxin for a few minutes before we move on to the Elia questions.
And I believe this one would also be for you potentially, Nura, Nuria.
One of the viewers is asking, should consumers favor the use of Nutroxin 365 more in the summer or in the winter?
So, as Dana has also said during the presentation, ultrasound is a year-round solution.
It's true that summer is the most intuitive season because sun exposure is higher, but winter is also highly relevant since UV radiation, especially UVI radiation, is present throughout the year and continues to contribute to photoaging pigmentation disorders and.
Skin damage.
Also, neutral sun has support the skin in both contexts.
In short, as I said before, it has been sought to improve the redness recovery of the sun of exposure and to also increase the minimal erythematos, helping the skin become more resistant to UV radiation and damage that is more obviously for, for summer season.
But also in a continuous use, neutral sand supports antioidal defense.
It helps reduce the UVA induced lipoperoxidation and contributes to a more healthier looking skin appearance.
So to me, Nutrox sun is best positioned as 365 days beauty from within solution.
Alright, good to know.
Thank you so much.
Dana, we have a question I think would be good for you as.
Which population segments would you say are most interested in the benefits of this ingredient?
That's a good one.
Because in general, what we see is like beauty from within or, you know, very known also by Nutri Cosmetics, the market is growing importantly.
And I will say that it's one of the main drivers of this, of this increase of this growth of the markets is the increased consumer awareness of the link between internal, internal, health, let's say like the structural health, and also the external appearance.
So we see, like, for example, there are several, segments of the market.
That are driving this growth and there we see, for example, women over the age of 40 looking forward to prevent the natural degradation of collagen that begins to accelerate at this stage, but we also see younger women about 25, 35 years old and they are seeking for a rear year-round radiance, but also very conscious about the relevance of the supplementation at early stage to support the skin and also to delay.
Like the natural or the potential symbols of agents that will appear later on, right?
We also see consumers, , the cosmetics, let's say like cosmetic consumers in general that they are also more, into the nutraceuticals, looking for nutraceutical solutions to complement their topical products, with this oral approach and also to get like a broader, you know, effects, bigger effects or higher effects, that support their skin radiance from within.
And, as Nuria was saying also, we also see like people's practicing outdoor routines, and I want to highlight what Nuria mentioned before, it's not summer, it's not winter, it's the all year around.
So we see companies that are promoting products and they're positioning products, for people practicing outdoor routines, not only for Summer sport that could be, we could link it to, for example, running or tennis or this type of a sport, but also ski and snowboarding, which are very winter sport and, and are also very affected by the UV radiation, as Nuria said, the UVA radiation which is affecting importantly our skin structure.
All right, wow, yeah, that's very interesting.
I was actually wondering about that, how that would work with, during the wintertime with snowboarding and sunburn or snowburn as we call it, right?
Yeah, all right, good to know.
Now, moving on to Elisada, I'll start with those questions.
And I believe Dane, I believe this question would also work for you as.
What would you say are the main opportunities for the Alyssa, Lisada agreement, ingredients in the market to succeed?
Here, this one is, is also very, very interesting question because it's beauty and it's true like the beauty general market was always driven by women, but here in the case of her beauty, we're seeing that the main drivers are not, still being the woman consumers, but increasingly men as.
So this is very interesting because out there they're selling.
Important, you know, amount of, people that we can also support with this, with this, benefit that we bring with our Elizara from the scalp.
Also, we see there is a trend, talking about the skinnification of the scalp, so treating the scalp as your skin, so taking a lot more, care of the scalp.
So the market is becoming a lot more aware about the importance of the scalp, as the foundation of the hair radiance, right?
And this I would like also to highlight what just Nuria mentioned before, when she was doing the presentation.
I think it's a very good opportunity to say we're, we're driving a new research on this ingredient, and we're gonna have some preliminary results, that will be, exposed or, or presented during Vita Food this May.
So I think it's a very good opportunity also to Invite, to the participants to come and see invita for this May, what we're gonna be presenting about Elizara, about the news in science we have and the benefits and new opportunities, that we know will be of highly, you know, relevant relevance for, potential new products development in the area of the hair, beauty.
Oh, yeah, that's also exciting.
I feel so seen.
Nuria, as a, could you briefly, maybe, one of our, viewers is asking, could you briefly, talk or maybe touch on the skin benefits of Elizara as?
Yes, of course, I said before, we, we have proven that the skin benefits of, of Elizara in, in two clinical trials, in subjects living and working in a polluted area.
So in Bte we saw improvement in three main areas of the skin, in terms of accuracy and defense, barrier function, and also visible signs of aging.
So, in terms of oxidative stress, we saw that the, the subjects that were having our ingredient Elizara saw a significant reduction in the peroxidative levels of their skin.
Also, the antioxidant status of their skin were improved, so we're more resistant, more er to fight against the oxidative stress.
Also, we, we saw an improvement in the skin barrier function, a reduction in the epidermal water loss, and increase in their moisturization.
Also, as we saw in terms of a scalp, people with oily skin saw a radiation in the, in the seven content which is particularly important with, if we live in an environmental with high pollutant.
Because they clot our pores and also er was the, the acne, so.
This is a result that we saw in both clinical study and also in, in the two clinical studies we proven the anti-aging benefits in terms of wrinkle their prediction, improve elasticity.
Also, we saw that the people having Elizara saw a lighter, a lighter skin.
And with a more even er skin tone, with a radiation in the darkest spots, so the, the skin tone become more, more even.
That's great.
Yeah, that's, it's especially important when, when you start to get, up in age like me, so it's exciting news.
I think we have time for one final question.
Dana, this one would also be regarding Elierda.
I think this would work for you as.
And which types of finished product formats could Elierra be included?
Mm, that, that's that's a very good one because we didn't mention about that during the presentation not only for Erizada but also for Nutra Sun both ingredients are quite versatile and they can be incorporated into a wide range of different finished product formats including of course.
Capsules, tablets, but also powder, stick packs, sachettes, you know, like shots, which is also, becoming so, interesting for, for this type of, , you know, beauty, ingredients.
So in that sense, in that sense, both ingredients are very easy to work with.
All right.
Thank you so much.
Unfortunately, that's all the time we have for today.
Dane, Nuria, I'd like to thank you both for sharing your wonderful insights and offer a big thank you to all of our viewers back at home and around the world for joining us today.
