At Vitafoods Europe 2024, we spoke to Leilah Thiart, senior communications manager at NutriLeads, a food processing company based in Wageningen, the Netherlands. She told us about Benicaros, the company’s prebiotic fiber ingredient launched this year and how its dual mode of action makes it particularly beneficial for gut and immune health. Thiart detailed what makes the product a precision prebiotic and how that helps target the microbiome. Its low-dose formulation allows for various product applications, such as gummies, vitamin shots and dairy beverages.
