Innova Market Insights data indicates that global launches of supplements and sports nutrition products with botanical ingredients have grown 6% from July 2019 to June 2024. From July 2023 to June 2024, Supplements made up 64% of these launches, with Cocoa Powder being the leading botanical ingredient. The top positionings were Immune Health (23%), Brain-Mood Health (22%) and Energy & Stamina (22%).

Innova Market Insights data indicate a 5% increase in supplement launches for bone health. Nearly half of these launches were from Europe. One in two NPDs for bone health also included an immune health claim. Vitamin D3 was the top ingredient in launches, while the use of zinc bisglycinate was gaining ground.
