Fermented dairy ingredient breakthrough

29 Jan 2019 --- Carbery Marketing Manager Sarah O'Neill says the company is excited to launch Bifipro, a fermented dairy ingredient that brings together the benefits of fermentation and fermented dairy with a high-quality whey protein. “We are targeting digestive health and muscle health as well. Bifipro's potential uses include sports nutrition, weight management and even possibly the food supplement clinical nutrition area,” she explains.

New solution for high protein NPD – Carbery

13 Dec 2017 --- There is still a trend toward high-protein products, and Carbery has much to offer in that regard. “High protein is still quite popular, we see it merging very much from traditional markets like sports nutrition into snackification, healthy alternatives and meal replacement products,” says Aine Hallihan. The company also sees a huge growth in convenience-type products like protein bars and RTDs. Carbery now offers a high-protein bar with a soft texture, high-protein hot chocolate and a range of different flavored protein waters. Hallihan believes the protein trend is here to stay for a while.

14 Dec 2016 --- Visitors to the joint Carbery/Synergy stand were able to sample a wide variety of food and beverages that demonstrate the applications and formulation expertise that are available. In line with growing market trends for high protein diets, Carbery showcased the latest in its dairy protein technology with beverages and snacks enriched with its hydrolyzed whey protein, Optipep. In combination with Synergy’s bitterness masking expertise, manufacturers could see how to optimize the nutritional content of beverages, while also offering an exceptional taste experience. Synergy demonstrated its bitterness masking capabilities with a range of flavors that are effective in disguising bitter off-notes in a range of protein-based products. In addition, Synergy presented its range of natural essences and extracts, Synergy Pure, which include tea, coffee, fruit and vegetables, botanicals and vanilla profiles.
