The company’s Sabroxy is a patented Oroxylum Indicum bark extract that has been bio-standardized to a specific set of compounds, including Oroxylin-A, baicalein and chrysin. Health and wellness company, Bloom, partnered with Target to roll out its Greens & Superfoods Powder nationwide – marking its “first-ever” retail expansion outside its DTC channels. Through this partnership, Bloom products will be available on the shelves of approximately 600 Target locations, giving millions of US citizens access to these products. Bloom Greens & Superfoods contain more than 30 essential nutrients, including whole fruits and vegetables, fiber and probiotics. The powder may reduce bloating, improve digestion, boost natural energy, support the immune system, support a healthy gut and benefit healthy skin. According to Bloom, the greens do not have any artificial flavors or colors and are made entirely of natural ingredients, including barley grass, wheatgrass and spirulina. Cappello’s Low Carb Lifestyle Uncured Pepperoni Pizza may benefit digestive health.Barrington Nutritionals, a distributor of science-backed ingredients, teamed up with Win America to produce and distribute custom premix solutions. Through this collaboration, Barrington and Win America can work with clients to create custom products. Win and Barrington will begin sourcing the required materials as soon as customers specify their plans for the desired premix. Once a source has been identified, Win will submit a product data sheet for review; samples will be sent to the customer when accepted. Win America will produce the premix after it has been approved, with Barrington serving as the distributor.

Researchers urge healthcare practitioners to inform patients about the significance of prioritizing sleep to promote cardiovascular health.Whole food-based producer Standard Process’s brand Possible unveiled a line of protein powders, SuperGreens, snack bars, meal bars and other clean-label, whole-food products. According to the brand, the products are suitable for athletic performance support. These snack bars and supercharged meal bars are made with real food and have an authentic taste. US-based university research for the Start campaign found that youngsters between the ages of two to four consume 20% of their daily caloric intake from items including biscuits, chocolate, soft drinks and salty snacks. For children in primary school, this calorie intake from these treats jumps to 25%. To foster healthy family practices, parents are encouraged by the Start campaign from safe food, the HSE and Healthy Ireland to give their kids fewer treats and more nutritious snacks when hungry. The study also discovered that sweet treats, including biscuits, chocolate, soft drinks and salty snacks, significantly increased kids’ consumption of added sugar and saturated fat between the ages of two to four and five to twelve.

The Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, US, evaluated an expanded measure of cardiovascular health (CVH) that includes sleep as the eighth metric for cardiovascular disease risk. This is the “first” study to look at adding sleep to the American Heart Association’s original Life’s Simple 7 metrics as a novel eighth CVH metric. The study included approximately 2000 middle-aged to older adults who participated in a sleep exam and provided detailed information on their sleep habits. The participants were part of the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis, an ongoing study of CVD and CVD risk factors. The findings showed that short sleepers were more likely to be overweight or obese and have Type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure, indicating that several undesirable sleep characteristics may coexist and may interact to raise the risk of heart disease. The researchers advised that healthcare professionals should evaluate their patients’ sleep habits, talk about sleep issues and inform patients about the significance of prioritizing sleep to promote CVH.
