UK: Nutrition Drink Recalled Due to Choking Concerns

24 Mar 2015 --- GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has recalled all bottles of its MaxiNutrition ready-to-drink 330ml Cyclone Milk 330ml because the product is a possible choking hazard, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

Reports state that the milk may contain creatine particles due to re-crystallisation, which means there is a possibility of mouth injury and it poses a possible choking hazard.

The FSA has issued a Product Recall Notice for all batch codes of MaxiNutrition Cyclone Milk – chocolate and strawberry flavours - as a precautionary measure. 

“The quality of our products and safety of our consumers is of paramount importance,” GSK Consumer Healthcare said in a statement. “The company is investigating all reported incidents and undertaking a comprehensive review of the product formulation in order to resolve the issue. No other MaxiNutrition products are affected by this action.”
