23 Mar 2010 --- Rousselot, the leading producer of gelatine and hydrolyzed collagen worldwide, will be highlighting its Peptan Collagen. To be more precise, the group will be unveiling the results of recent scientific studies clearly demonstrating the efficacy of this bioactive ingredient on the health of bones, joints and skin, as well as its nutritional advantages.
Samples and proposed applications will also be available as practical examples of the organo-leptic properties of these products and the ease with which they can be integrated into new functional or dietetic foods or drinks.
Proven efficacy on the health of bones and joints
In-vitro et in-vivo studies conducted at the INRA-AgroParisTech laboratory and published in “Bone”, the official Journal of the International Bone and Mineral Society, have recently borne witness to the advantages of Peptan for preventing osteoporosis. Its positive effects on joint health have also been reported in numerous studies. These have demonstrated the efficacy of hydrolyzed collagen for reducing joint pain in people with arthritis and in keen sportsmen and women. Sachets of flavoured Peptan Collagen for the bones and joints, which has been created in partnership with PYC, will be on offer as practical examples of how the product may be used.
