Newest Clinical Study Shows Celsius Burns Calories and Raises Metabolism All Month Long
The study was designed to review the effects of daily consumption of Celsius over a 28-day period to determine its impact on metabolism as well as important health markers.

10/08/07 Celsius Holdings, Inc. unveiled the results of its newest clinical study reviewing the prolonged impact of consuming Celsius over a 28-day period. Announced Saturday at the 2007 Sports Symposium in Beaverton, Oregon, the study results show Celsius, a great tasting, negative-calorie beverage, continues to burn calories during 28 days of continuous use.
The study was designed to review the effects of daily consumption of Celsius over a 28-day period to determine its impact on metabolism as well as important health markers. The results show:
-- Celsius was shown to raise metabolism and burn an average of more than 100 calories per single serving throughout the entire study
-- Celsius did not produce any adverse changes in health markers during the study
The study was conducted at the Applied Biochemistry and Molecular Physiology Laboratory in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at the University of Oklahoma and announced this weekend at the 2007 Sports Symposium. This most recent study comes on the heels of a second study released by Celsius, Inc. in June that validated Celsius' calorie burning and metabolism effects that was released at the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN).
"The study was conducted over 28 days with the objective of looking at the prolonged effect of daily Celsius consumption. Participants drank one 12 ounce bottle of Celsius each day. Most importantly, we found continuous calorie burning and metabolism increasing effects with no attenuation," said Chad Kersick, Ph.D. who served as Chief Researcher for the project at the University of Oklahoma. "These test results confirmed that prolonged consumption of Celsius does not negatively impact important health indicators."
"This newest study continues to show that Celsius offers consumers healthier refreshment," said Steve Haley, CEO of Celsius, Inc. "As the category creator, we are committed to supporting our products with strong clinical research. This new research, the first of its kind, demonstrates that consumers will consistently enjoy the same calorie burning benefits from drinking Celsius whether they drink it one day or everyday."
"I was particularly pleased to unveil these findings at the 2007 Sports Symposium because Celsius is a company whose roots are in fitness and nutrition," said Haley. "Announcing these substantial results at a prestigious gathering of experts that focus on sports, exercise, and nutrition validates our commitment to healthier refreshment."
The 2007 Sports Symposium held in Beaverton, Oregon brought together experts in medicine, sports and exercise to discuss methods of prevention, management and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries. This year's symposium was comprised of members of the American Chiropractic Association's Sports Council and the Oregon Athletic Trainers Association who explored avenues to work with athletes at all levels to promote better fitness and athletic performance.
