New Energy Bar Which Promises 1/3 of Your Daily Nutrients

16 Sep 2015 --- A new bar created by Chris Cage of Greenbelly is marketing itself as a ready-to-eat super meal that provides 1/3 of your daily nutrition.

Greenbelly claims to be unique by being nutritionally balanced, providing 1/3 of your daily nutrition, being ready-to-eat, needing no preparation or clean up as well as being healthy, 100% natural and gluten free. It describes itself as “an easy, healthy and nutritionally complete meal for busy people. Something for executives working through lunch to cyclists riding through breakfast. We worked with a food scientist and French trained chef last year to develop our three flavors. Each meal provides a tasty and all natural one third of your daily nutrition for six core nutrients: calories, carbs, protein, sodium, fats and fiber. Since April, we have scaled to large production and are in discussion with large investors. We have the most convenient and nutritionally balanced meal on the market and are excited to launch.”

Chris Cage left his accounting job in 2012 and spent two years teaching English in Thailand, volunteering at an orphanage in Cambodia, bicycle touring 3,000 miles of New Zealand and finally hiking the 2,185 mile long Appalachian Trail. Nutrition was a constant struggle and he says, “On the road, getting a proper balance of nutrients required extensive preparation and meal planning. Fast food was unhealthy, fresh fruit was perishable, protein bars weren't filling and cooking was messy and time consuming. Creating the perfect meal became my mission.”

After working with a food scientist and sampling countless recipes, Greenbelly was born in early 2014. They now offer three meals in a convenient, non-cook, meal bar form. Using all natural ingredients, each meal provides a balanced ? of your DV for six core nutrients: Calories, Carbs, Fats, Fiber, Sodium and Protein.
