HealthTech BioActives to showcase heart-healthy gummy and natural ingredients at SupplySide West 2024
HealthTech BioActives (HTBA), specializing in citrus flavonoids and active forms of vitamin B12, will showcase its new Cardiose gummy concept alongside developments to support functional health and taste modulation innovations at the upcoming SupplySide West in Las Vegas, Nevada, US.
“This is a really exciting time for us to be exhibiting at SupplySide West,” comments Tom D’hoore, HTBA’s chief commercial officer. “The holistic health trend, rising consumer scrutiny of claims and the drive for more sustainable manufacturing processes have created a market that we’re positioned to serve.”
“Our understanding of the industry, combined with our pharmaceutical heritage and green manufacturing processes, make us as unique and trusted as the health and nutrition products we co-create with our customers. We’re looking forward to meeting with new and existing partners in Las Vegas so that together we can explore opportunities to launch the industry’s next success stories.”
Functional health
HTBA will spotlight two of its flagship nature-based ingredients at the event. One is Cardiose, a sweet orange polyphenol extract obtained through a proprietary extraction process. It has been shown to support cardiovascular health and active performance. The other is MecobalActive, which is an active and pure form of vitamin B12 targeting cognitive function, energy and sleep.

HTBA’s strawberry dragon fruit-flavored Cardiose gummies will be available for sampling at the company’s booth ( #3683) and the expo’s Tasting Bar. The gummy prototype delivers 500 mg of Cardiose per serving.
Dr. Juan I. Cacho, scientific and regulatory affairs specialist at HTBA, will lead a presentation — “Boost physical performance with citrus flavonoids” — which aims to present insights into the latest scientific discoveries about the potential of Cardiose in active performance on October 30.
Taste modulation
Alongside its developments in functional health, HTBA will showcase its dark chocolate, which is enhanced through its taste modulation solutions to mask its natural bitterness.
The company will also exhibit functional mocha cold brew coffee with taste modulation technology, as well as with the HTBA Olews olive leaf extract.
Brands looking to mask the bitter taste of their finished dosage formulations can discover naturally-derived, sustainably-produced ingredients that dramatically improve sensory properties, without adding sugar to their labels.
