DSM Inaugurates New Fortitech Premixes Plant in India
10 Apr 2014 --- Royal DSM has inaugurated its Fortitech Premixes plant in Vadodara, Gujarat. The plant is spread across 5,000 square meters and will be one-stop source for food, beverage and pharmaceutical manufacturers looking for fortification as a way to differentiate their products from their competition.
The new plant will service the South Asian market with its teams split between Delhi and Mumbai, as well as a business development group, based in Malaysia and an upcoming Nutrition Innovation Center in Singapore. The initial employee headcount for this plant will be 29 full-time positions.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Alphonsus Stoelinga, said: “India and the Netherlands are very important economic partners for each other. India is the fifth largest source of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the Netherlands and vice versa the Netherlands are the fifth largest source of FDI for India. This plant of DSM is a perfect example of Dutch FDI in India. But there is more to it: Royal DSM is recognized for its global leadership in initiatives related to food security, preventing hidden hunger and promoting sustainable development in high growth economies. The new DSM Fortitech Premixes plant in Vadodara is a testimony of its commitment to develop and deliver innovative nutrition solutions to the South Asian market.”
