03/08/06 "The Future is Healthy – Creating Value through Innovation" is the focus of this year's Heidelberg Convention from September 18 th to 20th, for WILD customers in the food and beverage industry.
According to scientific and industry experts, "health" is the major trend for the 21st century. For the producers of food and beverages, it is interesting to develop products to implement against this trend. WILD offers innovative concepts that satisfy consumers’ requirements for products with a healthy benefit while also offering the manufacturers additional value.
During the Heidelberg Convention, Leo A. Nefiodow, a researcher into the future and author of the book "The Sixth Kondratieff", will be expressing what new market opportunities are opening up for the food industry. Professor Jeya Henry (Oxford Brookes University) and Professor Philip Calder (University of Southampton) will explain how the industry can target the specific needs of consumers with concepts based on a low glycemic index or with omega-3 fatty acids as a functional ingredient.
Dr. Kjell A. Nordstroem from the renowned Stockholm School of Economics will also be a speaker for the convention. The unconventional bestselling author of "Karaoke Capitalism – Management for Mankind" is pleading for more originality in the world of business and calling for "fitness and sex appeal for the business of tomorrow".
WILD will present current developments and future challenges of the international markets for beverages and food. Additionally, innovative food and beverage companies will be presenting success stories of recent product introductions.
