A&B Ingredients Unveils Next Generation Probiotic

PA5051 is a hardy probiotic supplement based on P. acidilactici.

According to Gil Bakal, A&B Ingredients Managing Director, “PA5051 is a novel, more robust and more stable strain of Pediococcus acidilacti that is able to withstand high temperatures up to 185° F for a prolonged period of time, and is able to survive in highly acidic conditions."

PA5051 is a natural lactic acid probiotic that is a non-spore forming probiotics, thus it does not require any specialized handling or clean up procedures.

Bakal notes that since the parent strain of PA5051 is cultivated from nature, it has developed the ability to withstand stresses that most probiotics are not able to tolerate. Not only is it an extremely safe bacteria, with a history of use in food applications, but it can also survive the digestive system to deliver live bacteria to the intestines to aid in digestion and to help maintain a healthy digestive system.
