New opportunities for good bacteria

06 Nov 2018 --- Mauricio Graber took the helm as new Chr. Hansen CEO on June 1, 2018, having previously served as President of the Flavours Division of Givaudan. Chr. Hansen recently reported its Q4 and full financial earnings. The company announced that it had achieved the overall financial targets set at the beginning of the year and raised its ambitions 9-11 percent organic growth for next year. It is the company’s core business of Cultures & Enzymes, which represents 59 percent of their business that performed the strongest, with bioprotection and probiotics forming key pillars here. FoodIngredientsFirst spoke with Mauricio about the current business environment and new opportunities for microbes.

Chr. Hansen targets organic growth through innovation

06 Nov 2017 --- Danish-headquartered ingredients supplier Chr. Hansen recently announced its annual results, with organic growth reported of 10 percent for 2016/2017. Food Cultures & Enzymes and Health & Nutrition both delivered strong growth, performing slightly above the long-term ambitions for these businesses, while Natural Colors grew in line with ambitions. The key focus for Chr. Hansen continues to be strong organic growth through innovation and the company notes that with good progress in many of its strategic initiatives, the building blocks for achieving its ambitious financial targets are in place.Soeren Westh Lonning, CFO at Chr.
