Vitiva Increases Production Capacity
The new formulations developed by Vitiva for meat, omega oils and pate are growing rapidly and are increasing Vitiva’s collaborative efforts with leading companies in the food and nutraceutical industry.
24/09/07 Slovenian based nutraceutical company Vitiva has expanded production capacity to answer the continuous growing flow of orders for its natural rosemary extracts line. Extraction production capacity was increased by 70% with the addition of several versatile lines for the production of natural extracts. This step will enable Vitiva to broaden its natural extracts line beyond rosemary-based products such as high purity lutein ester.
“This flexibility in our production facilities allows us to ideally utilize our capacities and enables capacity increases without affecting the reliability of supply to our customers," explains Ohad Cohen, CEO of Vitiva. “The driving force for this investment was the increase of incoming business in 2006 and 2007.”
The major growth promoters for Vitiva’s sales are INOLENS and VivOX products based on carnosic acid and AquaROX product line based on rosmarinic acid. The new formulations developed by Vitiva for meat, omega oils and pate are growing rapidly and are increasing Vitiva’s collaborative efforts with leading companies in the food and nutraceutical industry.
To reconfirm its ongoing dedication to the highest industry manufacturing standards and quality ingredients, Vitiva recently successfully completed IFS and BRC certifications with the maximum score levels. Certifications cover areas like HACCP, quality management, environment, product and process control etc.
“Our main strategy is to expand our portfolio by adding natural extracts to our product line,” adds Cohen. “In the last two years we consistently developed innovative natural ingredients but we are also considering acquiring a natural extracts company. Thus, we will be able to ensure a second production facility for our clients.”
This year has been key in the firm's repositioning towards value added ingredients, and its sales growth is driven by the food and nutraceuticals businesses.
