Regence Webinar Helps Consumers Lose Fat, Keep Flavor with Holiday Cooking
Chef Gayle Jolley of Wild Oats Marketplace will show attendees how to make sensible choices during the temptation-filled holiday season.
30/11/06 We all know the benefits of eating healthily, but sticking to a sensible diet can pose a challenge because low fat often translates to less taste in our meals and snacks. It's especially difficult to stay on track during the holidays, when so many great-tasting foods abound at holiday parties and meals. Weight gain becomes nearly unavoidable.
Consumers interested in learning how to eat healthily and avoid the inevitable holiday weight gain are invited to attend a free Regence Engine web seminar entitled "Lose the Fat: Keep the Flavor: Holiday Cooking Tips" on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time. The web seminar will be hosted jointly by Regence and Wild Oats Marketplace. Regence members may enroll for this web seminar on the Engine at myregence.com, while members of the public may enroll at regence.com.
Chef Gayle Jolley of Wild Oats Marketplace will show attendees how to make sensible choices during the temptation-filled holiday season. She will demonstrate simple ways to prepare healthier, flavorful meals for the holidays, how to select foods that are healthy and easy to prepare, and how to make low-fat substitutes without sacrificing taste.
"The holiday season can leave many people feeling out of control when it comes to overindulging at holiday meals or parties," said Will McKinney, vice president of Consumer-Directed Health Systems for Regence. "We are proud to offer this free webinar to help the community take charge of its health. We hope members and the public alike will join us to learn more about how they can stay healthy and still enjoy their favorite holiday meals."
