Tylenol maker enters supplement market with drug-free joint health line

Kenvue, the makers of Tylenol, are unveiling a new line of drug-free supplements for joint health and mobility. According to the company, its Proactive Support line, which features a blend of clinically studied natural ingredients, is a notable step into the supplement space.

Kenvue says the innovation addresses a growing demand for non-pharmaceutical solutions to age-related and lifestyle-driven joint concerns.

“As the ‘number one’ selling pain relief brand in the US with more than 60 years of experience, we are proud to use our heritage to offer science-backed, proactive options to improve joint health and further our mission to Care Without Limits,” says Jen Gow, head of US pain at Kenvue.

“This launch expands the Tylenol brand into the supplement space and provides consumers with an offering that can build a more complete toolkit for wellness.”

Clinically-backed ingredients

The new line’s basis is TamaFlex, a proprietary blend of turmeric and tamarind. The company states that clinical studies show it can improve joint comfort, flexibility, and function in as little as five days by supporting the body’s healthy inflammatory response.

Moreover, it was developed with input from healthcare professionals and is designed for consumers seeking an easy, once-daily solution without the need for multiple large pills.

With Proactive Support, Tylenol says it is addressing a key health need, as research shows the aging process accelerates around age 44 and again at 60, life stages when joint health becomes more vulnerable to wear and stress.

Two targeted formulas

Proactive Support comes in two patent-pending formulas — Muscle & Joint and Muscle & Joint + Stress.

Muscle & Joint features cucumber extract, offering joint comfort benefits that the company says outperform glucosamine chondroitin. Muscle & Joint + Stress adds sceletium extract to help manage occasional stress and promote a sense of calm. Tylenol highlights that both offerings are free from acetaminophen.
