InterHealth's UC-II Receives GMP Certification
Recent randomized, double-blind, clinical research conducted in North America has shown that 40 mg of UC-II a day is more than twice as effective as 1,500 mg of glucosamine + 1,200 mg of chondroitin in increasing joint comfort, mobility and flexibility.
9 Sep 2009 --- UC-II undenatured type II collagen, InterHealth's joint-health ingredient, has earned Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification by NSF International. UC-II is a natural, patented, clinically-proven ingredient single-sourced and manufactured in the United States for joint health.
"InterHealth is proud of the GMP certification and believes this to be in line with our dedication to quality. We have been operating under GMP guidelines for many years, producing a high-quality, safe and efficacious joint-health ingredient," said Paul Dijkstra, CEO of InterHealth. "The GMP certification shows that we follow strict quality guidelines established by the FDA." In addition to high manufacturing standards, numerous research studies have shown that UC-II is safe and highly effective. Recent randomized, double-blind, clinical research conducted in North America has shown that 40 mg of UC-II a day is more than twice as effective as 1,500 mg of glucosamine + 1,200 mg of chondroitin in increasing joint comfort, mobility and flexibility.
UC-II is manufactured at Chick Cart, Inc. in a manufacturing plant dedicated exclusively for InterHealth. Dijkstra added, "With recent sourcing issues and concerns, it is critical to provide our customers every assurance possible. GMP certification, along with research results demonstrating joint-support benefits, underscores that UC-II is a value-added ingredient manufactured to the strictest of standards. We are fortunate to be partnered with Chick Cart and we are looking forward to our continued relationship as the demand for UC-II grows worldwide."
