Green Tea Caffeine Processing Device Developed in Japan
The LCT160001 processor washes tea leaves in hot water to remove caffeine by more than 60%. The new device can decaffeinate tea leaves without reducing the amount of catechin and amino acids.
03/05/06 The National Institute of Vegetable and Tea Science (NIVTS), a research entity of the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO) in Japan, has developed the LCT160001, a device for lowering the caffeine content of green tea, in collaboration with a Shizuoka-based machinery manufacturer, Terada Production.
The LCT160001 processor washes tea leaves in hot water to remove caffeine by more than 60%. The new device can decaffeinate tea leaves without reducing the amount of catechin and amino acids.
