Co-op Recalls Canned Ravioli

12/02/08 Co-op has recalled some of its canned ravioli (400g) because some meatballs and ravioli have been incorrectly placed in the ravioli packaging.
The meatballs and ravioli contain celery powder, which is not mentioned on the ravioli label, making this product a possible health risk for people with an allergy to celery. The Agency has issued an Allergy Alert. Anyone who is allergic to celery is advised not eat the product.

The company has recalled all the affected stock from sale and will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their members of the recall. Notices are being displayed in all stores explaining why the product has been recalled and the actions customers should take if they have bought the product.
No other Co-op products are known to be affected.
