Chr. Hansen Launches Powerful NutriPhy Cranberry

17/10/07 Chr. Hansen is to launch a NutriPhy Cranberry, which offers new possibilities for product development for the dietary supplement and functional food industries. The new product will first be introduced at SupplySide West in November in Las Vegas.

Cranberry has been known for its health benefits for generations, and is a well-known ingredient in the dietary supplement industry. Currently cranberry juice, juice concentrate, dried berries and dried pomace are used as raw materials for the supplements industry, but NutriPhy Cranberry is different. NutriPhy Cranberry extract powder is standardized on the minimum of 4% of the important proanthocyanidins, which may help reduce the adhesion of certain E. coli bacteria to the urinary tract walls.
