The company has withdrawn the affected stock from sale and will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their members of the withdrawal.

28/02/08 Chequer Foods Ltd has withdrawn one batch of its Portion Pak Tomato Sauce Sachet because of undeclared lactose on the label. This makes the product a possible health risk for anyone intolerant to lactose. The Agency has issued an Allergy Alert.

Anyone who is intolerant to lactose is advised not to eat this product.
