Enzybel enters field of animal-derived enzymes
04 Aug 2017 --- Enzybel, the enzyme division of Floridienne SA and a premium supplier of plant-derived enzymes, has moved into animal-derived enzymes. The company says the move comes as it has continued to grow as a premium supplier of plant-derived enzymes, especially for the food and beverage, pet food and nutraceutical industries. As a result, according to a press release, the volumes of these products delivered by Enzybel have grown spectacularly over the last three years.
The company’s turnover next year is again expected to grow and Enzybel is confident that it will double its actual sold volumes within five years. The company’s strategy is aimed at sustainable and scalable growth through adding a lot of value by building up scientific knowledge, producing the highest-quality product and improving delivery performance. The aim is to achieve this by continually improving the products and the organization itself.
Enzybel’s EU Pharma certification for APIs – obtained in three out of four factories – has over the past year been seen as the first step to guaranteeing customers a better and safer product. Upcoming certifications (FSCC 22000) for both Belgian production units will be a second crucial step in Q3 2017, the company says.
“We also foresee the implementation of a new ERP system by the end of 2017 to become a more efficient organization and we will also continue to develop new products and improve existing ones,” concludes Enzybel’s press release. “For example, our product range has just been expanded with European origin pork Pancreatin, Pepsin, Trypsin and Chymotrypsin sold by our recently founded company Enzybel Pharma SA.”
