As one of the largest trade fairs for food and beverages, Anuga 2019 welcomed over 7,400 exhibitors to view its ten different halls and celebrate its 100th anniversary. Taking place 5th to the 9th October 2019, clear trends emerging at the show included a push toward plant-based offerings in the dairy and meat categories, as well as the ongoing clean label and sugar reduction trends. Sustainability was also a key driver at the show, with a plethora of exhibitors citing environmental consciousness as an underlying reason for NPD.
