New Health Ingredient Campaign from AstaReal to Launch in UK This Summer
29 Jun 2016 --- A major UK-focused marketing campaign is to be launched this summer by Swedish nutrition specialist AstaReal, in an attempt to generate interest in its health ingredient astaxanthin. Astaxanthin is a naturally-occurring antioxidant found in freshwater and marine systems.
The upcoming health marketing campaign is set to target health-conscious UK consumer audience groups, as well as raise general awareness of the health benefits associated with astaxanthin, which are said to include skin health, anti-aging, muscle performance, cardiovascular and cognitive function, and vision.
Astaxanthin, a naturally occurring pigment which gives salmon, crabs, krill, lobsters and even flamingos their reddish colouring, is said to protect the entire cell membrane from the inside out, making it more potent and effective than other antioxidants at scavenging free radicals that accelerate the aging process.
“Having sold our astaxanthin in Scandinavia for over 20 years as well as having presence in more than 30 countries around the world, we are excited about the opportunities this campaign presents us and our ability to grow in the UK region,” says Andie Long, Marketing & Sales Manager at AstaReal. “Since initially launching in 1995, the ingredient has been gaining rapid popularity for human health and nutrition in mainland Europe and the UK, so this campaign comes at a perfect time to accelerate this momentum as well as bolster our reputation as the leading producer and researcher of natural astaxanthin.”
In a first for the company, AstaReal will work alongside a number of leading UK companies who use their astaxanthin as a key ingredient in their products, as part of this two-pronged approach to build education and drive enquiries in both the ingredient as well as the consumer products it’s found in.
